FAQs
I want to take a moment to align our expectations. When it comes to videography there's a lot of things to juggle, and set out below is a number of questions I come across.
1. How is our booking confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed only when I have received the completed Booking Questionnaire Form, the signed Agreement and the Booking Fee. Until then, the wedding date remains available to other couples.
2. What do your services include?
I will be with you for the times stated in the Booking Documents/Package Details. Extra coverage is subject to availability and is charged at the rate of £100 per hour past 21:00. Requests made less than seven (7) days before the wedding cannot be guaranteed.
Filming of the "Full Ceremony" means the capture of the entrance of you/any party as discussed at our final details meeting, up until your first married kiss.
Filming of the "Speeches" means the capture of speakers from start to end as discussed at our final details meeting. If any extra speakers are added without prior warning being given to me, it is understood by you that their sound representation may not be captured.
Filming of the "First Dance" means the capture of your dance with your new spouse to the first song as presented on the day. Any extra dances or songs are not guaranteed to be included in your final edit.
Wedding videography involves live, unrepeatable events. I will make reasonable efforts to capture important moments, but I cannot guarantee every requested shot, guest, detail, angle or moment, and I am not responsible for missed or restricted footage caused by venue rules, officiant or registrar restrictions, poor lighting, weather, late running, traffic, guest behaviour, other suppliers, blocked camera positions or circumstances outside of my reasonable control.
3. Is there anything you need from us?
It's helpful for me to have an accurate timeline, venue details, key contacts and any requested shot information in good time before the wedding.
4. Do we need to feed you?
Meals are appreciated for long coverage days but are not compulsory. Where no meal is provided, I may take a reasonable break to source food on the day, which in some cases may require me to leave the venue.
5. When is the final payment due?
The remaining balance is due no later than six (6) weeks before the wedding date.
6. What if you can't film or are unwell?
If I have to cancel because of illness, emergency or circumstances outside my control, I will first make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable replacement. If no suitable replacement can be arranged, I will refund payments received for services not provided.
7. Can we request a different style?
I'd like to hope that are you thinking of booking me because you like my style and connect with my way of working. When booking with me, you confirm that you have reviewed my previous work and are booking me because you like my general filming and editing style. Creative decisions, including camera angles, colour grading, pacing, sequencing, sound design and licensed music choices, remain at my professional discretion.
8. Can we keep our videos private?
Absolutely! I do share trailers, teaser reels and snippets on my business pages but if you would rather keep these private, please confirm as soon as possible.
9. Is drone footage included?
Drone filming is included in both of my packages. It is always subject to weather, safety, legal restrictions, airspace restrictions, operator judgement, venue or landowner permission and any Civil Aviation Authority requirements.
10. Can we purchase the RAW footage?
Raw footage is not available to purchase. However your films are edited in a way that includes everything I film from start to finish, so that you don't feel like you are missing out on any footage.
With the cost of storage and the volume I require to store your videos, I am only able to store RAW footage for up to 12 months. I do however always keep a copy of your final edited films.
